AFFILIATE ADVERTISING GUIDELINES

Dear Affiliate,

The purpose of these guidelines is to provide you with a summary of the UK advertising rules, as set out by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) and the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC)

All of our ads and campaigns must comply with UK Advertising Codes, issued by the Committees of Advertising Practice (CAP) and administered by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA).

As a UK-licensed operator, NetBet always ensures that its advertising campaigns are carried out in a socially responsible manner, and we expect the same from our affiliates.

Bear in mind that the advertising codes apply to you as well, which is why we encourage you to either use the marketing content available on our website, or to share your own marketing material with us, so that we can provide you with feedback and suggestions.

Listed below are the main points you need to consider when advertising or promoting our brand (for a complete overview, please visit: https://www.asa.org.uk/resource/gambling.html):

General marketing rules:

Marketing communications must be clearly identifiable as such, and must not materially mislead or be likely to do so.
Marketing communications must state significant limitations and qualifications.
Marketing communications must make clear the extent of the commitment the consumer must make to take advantage of a “free” offer.

Before distributing or submitting a marketing communication for publication, you must hold documentary evidence to prove claims that consumers are likely to regard as objective, and that are capable of objective substantiation.

All marketing communications, or other material referring to promotions, must communicate all applicable significant conditions or information where the omission of such conditions or information is likely to mislead.

Marketing rules for gambling products:

Marketing communications for gambling must be socially responsible, with particular regard to the need to protect children, young persons and other vulnerable persons from being harmed or exploited.

Marketing communications must not

  • portray, condone or encourage gambling behaviour that is socially irresponsible or could lead to financial, social or emotional harm;
  • condone or encourage criminal or anti-social behaviour;
  • be likely to be of particular appeal to children or young persons, especially by reflecting or being associated with youth culture;
  • include a child or a young person. No one who is, or seems to be under 25 years old, may be featured gambling. No one may behave in an adolescent, juvenile or loutish way;
  • link gambling to seduction, sexual success or enhanced attractiveness;
  • suggest that gambling can enhance personal qualities.

We hope the above helps you to gain a clearer idea of what we expect from you.

Sincerely,

The Affiliate Marketing Team
